What to measure in your marketing?

Knowing what to measure in your marketing is essential for your business success.

Numbers and stats are clear measures we can use to tweak, improve and learn. However there are some numbers that count far more than others.

If you are focusing on engagement numbers that’s great. But if they aren’t translating into sales, you’ve got a problem.

If you are managing your own marketing you need to know what to measure in your marketing, and even more importantly, what NOT to measure.

If you are outsourcing you need to be able to direct your marketing agency to look at several different areas before we even look at conversion rates, analytics and more.

Knowing your numbers makes you a better marketer (it’s not all about playing with crayons!)

Here’s two simple tools you can use to help measure your marketing better:

Google Analytics

Google Search Console

Once you know how to use them, they are super powerful, and easy to use.

If you have no idea what they do, or how to read them, we’re happy to help!

Otherwise, learn what to measure your marketing a little further in this video.

Our advice is to take notes, and start to learn how to find out this information, by using free, or low-cost tools (and perhaps some training)
