BACKGROUND

Two Spoons was only a few months old when Identify worked with them. A local favourite coffee stop in Whangaparaoa, it was one of the first eateries in the area to provide food for gluten free and dairy free people that looked, and tasted fantastic. However, the couple was working very long hours with a young family and struggling to breakthrough to working better.

THE WORK

Over an initial session, Rachel from Identify sat down and worked through the pricing and overall business structure, looking at what their projected growth was, and whether it was possible. We quickly found three things:

  1. The sales they needed from individual people were impossible from a purely space perspective
  2. Their prices were far lower than their competitors for a higher value product
  3. They needed to grow their catering side and add some structure to prevent themselves from burning out

We implemented a plan to more forward with this in mind. A year later, we worked with Two Spoons to write their marketing plan, ready to grow their business to the next stage.

THE RESULT

Several years after working with Nigel and Trish from Two Spoons has seen them continue to look at the true value of their business, and grow their catering side. They’ve recently moved premises to a bigger venue, with capacity to grow.

Nigel and Trish have worked very hard to implement the changes and ideas we worked through – and the success in their business is very much their work. They are proficient DIYers who still struggle to get everything ticked off their marketing to-dos each month (like most people) but consistently go back to their plan and reset to keep them on track.
