So whether you’re considering doing your marketing yourself or just trying to learn a thing or two, here’s how you can use video in your next Facebook ad (effectively).

Video Facebook ads

Let’s first outline why a video advertisement can perform better compared to content focused ads or ads containing different visual material such as images at the awareness stage of a funnel.

Video’s tell a story.

Your users don’t just want to know about the product, they want to know who they are buying from, why they should buy from you and not your competitors.

Using video can help you get across your story and brand personality a lot quicker than an image can. All it takes is 10 seconds of your facebook video.

They no longer have to read long paragraphs to learn about you, they can simply just watch a quick clip of you talking about what you do!

Why video performs better

Now we’re going to move onto the Video Facebook ad logistics and what you can do as a marketer to really nail and make the most out of your money spent on video advertisements. To start this section off, let’s take a look at this statistic.

According to Adaptly’s research, users who were exposed to a sequenced ad (or as we like to call it a Funnel) had an 87% increase in making it to your landing page.

So essentially if you created a series of thought out and well-planned ads in a funnel and your last ad was aimed to get users to sign up for your newsletter. They are 87% more likely to click on your offer and get to your landing page.

That’s a HUGE increase in people interacting with your ad.

And the reason behind this is?

Because they were already a warm lead and had shown interest in whatever you were advertising in your previous Facebook ad.

Let’s talk about how you can create Video Facebook ads using warm leads.

  1. Use the power editor feature on facebook ads so you can create a custom audience from people who have watched your video. Click ‘create audiences from people who view this video’.That can be found underneath the call to action section when creating an ad.
  2.  Create a custom audience using the people who have watched a certain percentage of your video. Here is how you can do that:

In your ad manager go to audiences under assets, then click create a new audience, then click engagement, then video, then choose engagement type (for example people who have watched more than 50% of your video), then continue to fill out the rest of the form.

This way your custom audiences are built around people who are already engaging and have some sort of interest in your product or service. This will bring the cost right down on your video ads.

Check out this 30-second clip on how to create the audience in your ad manager.

You can bring them down to $0.01 to $0.06 cents per view.

You can choose to re-target those people who have watched more than 50% of your video and take them further down your funnel.

Consider creating an offer for them, taking them to a landing page to fill out a form, offering them an eBook or free consultation etc.

Video marketing is very effective in this day and age.

Everybody wants their information quick, accessible and easy to follow.

Using video Facebook ads is a great way to warm up leads and take them through your funnel and ultimately, increase your conversion rate.
